5 Things I Am Grateful For In This Time


It is important to remember to be grateful even during the most difficult times in our lives. Here are five things I am grateful for today:

1. God remains the same, no matter what changes around us. He will never fail us.

2. Summer is just around the corner.

3. I have enough food.

4. I am able to write during this time.

5. There are better things waiting in heaven. God sent his Son to die on the cross to take away my sins. Jesus rose again, and we celebrate Easter because he lives.

Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord.
Psalm 117:1-2

This Is Temporary - Reassurances From Scripture


Nothing in this life is guaranteed.
Nothing in this life is permanent.
Everything about this life can be scary and uncertain, but there are better things to come.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18

God promised that as long as the earth endures, summer and winter will always exist. We know that life will move on, no matter how things feel at this moment of time.

“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
Genesis 8:22

One thing that we can be sure of through all of the uncertainties of this life is that Jesus is always the same.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Hebrews 13:8

We can trust God. We can know that everything will work out according to his plan.

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan
that can succeed against the Lord.

Proverbs 21:30

God loves us, and we will be okay. Remember that this is only temporary.

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
